Upcoming for 2026
Adam offers beginner-friendly blacksmithing clinics for those with a passion for the trade. Participants will learn to handle essential tools such as hammers, tongs, and punches, how to operate a coke forge, and how to work all angles of the anvil. Adam will cover safety protocols of working in a blacksmithing shop including lighting, ventilation, posture, using tools effectively, monitoring temperatures in the forge etc. Participants will be required to wear safety glasses, steel toed boots and ear protection. Limited to 6 participants. Water and snacks provided, please bring a lunch.
At his home base, Pilot Farm & Forge, Adam will be hosting a select number of farrier clinics for graduates of farrier training programs, first-time competitors, and practicing farriers interested in continuing education and skill development. He will offer topics such as maintaining farrier tools, forging shoes for everyday practice, and draft horse trimming and shoeing.

In Our Community
Pilot Farm & Forge participates in a select number of community events around the Cariboo region. In 2026, you’ll find us at the Quesnel Fall Fair September 5-6 providing driving, shoeing, and braiding demonstrations with our horses.
Adam, along with a team of horses, will often attend the Chilliwack Plowing Match in April and Armstrong Plowing Match in September, as well as A Day at the Farm on Westham Island in Delta in the fall providing a horse-drawn walking plow demonstration.

Site visits are mandatory before committing to your event. Our horses are big and our trucks and trailers are even bigger! We need to know that your location is safe and suitable for our horses and vehicles - trucks, trailers, and horse drawn equipment.
